River Bats Open Season Against Duluth

The St. Cloud River Bats of the Northwoods League open their season tonight against the Duluth Huskies at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
Last summer the Bats went 40-28 and reached the North Division playoffs before falling to the Rochester Honkers. There will be plenty of St. Cloud flavor in tonight’s contest between the River Bats and Huskies as three SCSU baseball players are on the rosters for these two teams. Pitcher Chris Kubitz and infielder Travis Cariveau (CAR-view) play for the River Bats and outfielder Brian Hansen plays for Duluth.
First pitch tonight is at 7:05. St. Cloud’s home opener is Friday at Joe Faber Field against Duluth.
