SCSU Hands It Off in 45-6 Defeat Over Bemidji

The passing attack of SCSU football team may have been quiet Saturday in Bemidji, but that's all Phillip Klaphake and SCSU needed in the 45-6 route in Bemidji. It was the rushing attack of SCSU which handed it off 32 times Saturday. Michael Walker and Ledell White combined for 25 carries on the ground for 118 yards and two touchdowns. However it was Kenneth Walker who had a 79 yard score to go along with his 99 yards on the day. All in all SCSU ran for 370 yards, collecting 521 yards of total offense. Phil Kalphake was 7-12 for 156 yards and two scores including a 86 yard dart to Taylor Berger. Klaphapke made a seven yard completion in the 3rd quarter breaking the schools career record of 9,695 yards held by Keith Heckendorf.
Eric Poggenburg led the way with 12 tackles on defense as SCSU allowed just 290 yards of total offense to Bemidji. Tate Christopherson also had an interception to go along with his 6 tackles. This was the final regular season road game for the Huskies.
