On Monday afternoon St. Cloud State Athletics announced that Chad Braegelmann take over as the new head coach of the SCSU Volleyball team. Braegelmann is just the fifth coach in the programs history. He will take over for Michelle Blaser who resigned in April.

Over his last seven seasons at Minnesota-Morris, Braegelmann posted a 129-91 record. His 2013 team at Minnesota-Morris won a share of a conference title and last year the Cougars were 23-12 with a 12-2 conference record. Overall, Braegelmann has coached 14 seasons in college volleyball. He is a native of Richmond, Minnesota and graduated from Rocori High School. Braegelmann also served as the Athletics Discipline Coordinator and as an Assistant Athletic Director at Minnesota-Morris.

"Chad brings a dynamic leadership style to our volleyball program, and has a history of building and sustaining success within his teams," said Athletic Director Haether Weems. "He sets high expectations for his student-athletes and fosters a sense of pride in his programs through performance in the classroom and on the court."
