SCSU Renews Contracts of Four Head Coaches

St. Cloud State has announced four-year contract renewals for head baseball coach Pat Dolan, women’s hockey coach Jeff Giesen, men’s and women’s track and field and cross country coach Seth Mischke and men’s basketball coach Kevin Schlagel.
Pat Dolan just completed his third season at St. Cloud State. He has led the Huskies to a 104-58-1 record during his tenure at SCSU, including a record-setting 41 victories in 2010.
Jeff Giesen finished his fourth season as SCSU’s women’s hockey coach this spring. Last season Giesen led the Huskies to a top-three WCHA finish for the first time in school history.
Seth Mischke is nearing the end of his 12th season in St. Cloud, where he has transitioned the St. Cloud State track and field and cross country programs into the NSIC with a great deal of success. Mischke has coached athletes to a total of 25 NSIC individual titles over the past two seasons.
Kevin Schlagel has been at St. Cloud State for 13 seasons. He has won 20 or more games on seven occasions including a school record 29 wins in 2010.
