It was a ping-pong game of back and fourth goals in the first game of the series on Friday night that saw the Huskies trailing with less than a minute to play. Senior captain, Kevin Gravel scored to tie the game with one tenth of a second remaining, sending the game to overtime. In the extra frame it was Miami University who scored first for the win, the final score was 5-4.
Saturday’s game was a bit more defensive until the Huskies got on the board twice in the second. Despite a two-goal SCSU lead, the game was far from over. The Redhawks would four goals in the third period for the win, the game winner coming with just two point six seconds left on the clock. Triggering elation for the Redhawks and heartbreak for the Huskies.
