Softball Sweeps Upper Iowa

Coach Paula U'Ren's St. Cloud State softball team swept a double header yesterday over Upper Iowa University by scores of 3-2 and 2-1 from Selke Field in St. Cloud.
Sophomore Kelly Olson propelled the Huskies to a win in game one with her third homerun of the season to help rally a comeback. Olson had two hits and two RBI’s for SCSU.
The Huskies needed a late sacrifice fly from Chris Saiz in game two to lead them to a 2-1 win. In the bottom of the seventh the Huskies pulled away on the sacrifice despite only getting three hits.
SCSU is now 19-16 and 4-6 in the NSIC. They are back in action on Saturday at Augustana with a doubleheader slated to start at 12 PM.
