Two Huskies Receive Honoros

Two St. Cloud State athletes have been honored as NSIC Myles Brand Academic with Distinction Award winners. The honor, named for the late NCAA President Dr. Myles Brand, is presented to NSIC senior student-athletes who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher, are using all of their eligibility while remaining on track for graduation. Eighty student-athletes from the NSIC's 16 institutions received this award. The SCSU athletes with the honor this year include: Stephanie Crandall and Phil Imholte.
Crandall is a senior member of the SCSU women's swimming and diving team. She is a political science major and a two-time Husky of the year award winner, a 2012 All-American and holds the SCSU record in the 400 medley relay.
Imholte is a senior captain on the SCSU baseball team and is a mass communications major. He is an outfielder for the Huskies, was named to the Capital One Academic All-America First team in 2012 and a two-time NSIC Academic team member. He has received many other awards for his accomplishments including two-time all conference player awards.
