Women's Basketball Tops Concordia

The St. Cloud State women’s basketball team posted an impressive win Saturday afternoon as they beat Concordia St. Paul 68 to 45. Junior guard Amanda Wagner scored a career high 19 points to lead the Huskies.Wagner also posted a team high eight rebounds. Senior post Aaryn Booker added nigh points and seven rebounds in the effort.
The Huskies out rebounded the Golden Bears 46 to 36 and scored 31 points off of 22 Concordia turnovers. The Huskies held a 34 to 30 halftime lead and began the second half on a 13 to 2 run.
The Huskies are now 5 and four overall and 2 and 3 in the NSIC. Concordia falls to a 6 and 5 overall record with a 3 and 2 mark in the NSIC. The women’s basketball team returns to NSIC action January 2nd when the Huskies host Augustana College at 6 p.m.
