Spring Practice Underway for SCSU Football

Although it’s only spring, Husky football is back at work in preparation for the 2010 season. SCSU starts their spring practice today at the Husky dome as they look to build on a very successful 2009 season that saw the Huskies go 7-4 overall and just miss out on the postseason.

St. Cloud returns plenty of talent for 2010, including leading receiver Fred Williams and explosive running back Brandon Geiss. The question mark for the Huskies this upcoming season will be the quarterback position however, as the team is losing seniors Mitch Watkins and Derek Stripling. Competing for the starting role next season will be redshirt freshman Brad Meade and freshman Phillip Klaphake.

SCSU opens up their 2010 season at Augustana on September 4 in a non-conference matchup.

Huskies Getting Set for St. Paul

The St.Cloud State Men's Hockey team didn't capture the league playoff title and the Broadmoor Trophy but the Huskies did solidify a spot in the NCAA Tournament this weekend.
