1.) When did you get involved with 88.1 FM?
Spring 2014 when I first entered the halls of KVSC and began my attempt to fill the big shoes of Gina Carlson as the Marketing Director.
2.) What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?
The first ever show I hosted was under the tutelage of Declan Goff where we rocked out hosting the progressive rock show. Then my first solo mission was when I hosted the Frets program on Saturday morning. Now I’m the weekly host of the Tuesday Morning show part 1.
3.) Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)?
I love starting off my show in the morning with reggae, which generally includes some form of Marley. I love rap music and envy Derek the host of Urban Invasion on Thursday nights! He has met a lot of cool artists in his days here. Other than that I try to keep a steady variety of deep cuts from local to global to keep your ears always guessing what’s coming next.
4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?
From the moment I walked through the halls the first time I have felt welcome here, and love the idea of public radio. I want to be a part of the voice of St. Cloud
5.) What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)?
Common-Be, Chicago rap artists tend to take up a lot of my music space. Kanye West, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Palmer Squares.
6.) Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful)
One of my favorite Christmas presents as a kid was an N’SYNC CD that I used to blast. Nuff said.
7.) What are your hobbies and interest?
Sports, hanging with the homies, and being a DJ at KVSC
8.) When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?
Either on a golf course or trying to enjoy the summer sun with some friends.
9.) If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)?
Iphone filled with music, a companion, water, now&laters, and a beanie.
10.) What do you think is the future of radio?
Whatever the future is I want to be a part of it and enjoy the places it can go.
