1.) 1.) When did you get involved with 88.1 FM?
The first time I was on the air was I think 1990 while working as a sports reporter. It started to snow and Dan Hamann was doing softball play-by-play from center field in a big ol’ Plymouth Fury. I jumped in and did colour commentary for that game.
I later got involved during graduate school and hosted my first show in Summer 1999. Friday Morning Part 2, right after Sandy.
2.) What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?
I am currently the host of the Class Rock Show on Sunday nights and have been in that slot for about 4 or 5 years. I have also hosted Diversions and Morning Part 2.
3.) Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your
show(s)?
The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Tommy Bolin, Allman Brothers, Little Feat, The Who, Ray Charles, Aretha, Curtis Mayfield, Hendrix, Elvis, Booker T & the MGs Ultimate Spinach, Moby Grape, Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, John Lennon, Pete Townshend, Cream, Derek & The Dominoes, Traffic, David Bromberg, Roy Buchanan, The Clash .. this list could get really long.
4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?
It’s fun.
5.) What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)?

6.) Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful)?
Embarrassing? Well, the first album I ever bought was Donny Osmond “My Best To You”, but I was also in Kindergarten. (The second album I bought was Kiss “Destroyer” Mom didn’t like that one as much.)
7.) What are your hobbies and interests?
Playing poker, Facebook, Bier, my Kitties, Reading, Making a Dryer Lint Ball.
8.) When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?
Home, at a SCSU hockey or football game, at a St. John’s game or at the White Horse.
9.) If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)?
In unlimited supplies: Clean water, Hops, Malt, Brewers Yeast and a bunch of unbreakable mugs.
10.) What do you think is the future of radio?
Just like Newspapers and Television, it will be around, though likely in a different form. What that form is, I do not know
