1.) When did you get involved with 88.1 FM?
August of 2005
2.) What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?
After 6 long years I’m hosting the Classic Rock Show Pt. 1! Over the years I
have filled in for it a handful of times. I have also hosted overnights, afternoon prog rock, Thriving on a Riff, morning shows, Sunsplash, diversions, Granite City rock café pt1.
3.) Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)?
Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Allman Brothers, Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, the Guess Who. KVSC has such a wide variety of artists that I can literally go
from week to week and not repeat artists during the classic rock show.
4.) Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?
I was frustrated of hearing the same old crap on commercial classic rock
stations and heard KVSC had a classic rock show with two parts. As well as
being an independent public radio station run largely by students, volunteers and community members I thought this was my chance to get
involved and make a difference musically to what people heard on the

Putumayo World Music: Gypsy Groove, Paul McCartney: Red Rose Speedway, Band on the Run, Venus and Mars, and Wings at the Speed of Sound, Best of the Guess Who
6.) Please disclose the most embarrassing music moment or concert you’ve attended or album you’ve bought (perhaps even shameful)?
I honestly don’t know if I have had one.
7.) What are your hobbies and interest?
Reading, playing video games, watching Netflix, going for walks, and bike rides. Playing with my three cats and oh yeah MUSIC!
8.) When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?
I would most likely be at SCSU finishing up a double major in Geography and History or at my apartment.
9.) If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)?
My life partner, our cats, and Led Zeppelin IV
10.) What do you think is the future of radio?
I honestly don’t know but I fear more corporate takeover of independent radio, but at the same time I feel the internet could provide for a revival ofindependent, underground radio stations.
