Learn Ojibwe Applique Quillwork in Workshop at Mille Lacs Museum

The Mille Lacs Indian Museum is hosting a two-day workshop where you can learn applique quillwork. Before trade beads, the Ojibwe used quillwork to adorn their dwellings, clothes and tools. You can learn how to work with porcupine quills by dying them and applying them to a small leather pouch. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided both days.The workshop runs on Saturday, January 27th and Sunday January 28th. Registration is required three days prior to workshop. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
