raybradbury.jpgRay Bradbury is a classic writer whose work has spanned two centuries. Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 and the Martian Chronicles are must-reads for any student of literature. His writings range from novels to short stories to screenplays and television scripts. In recognition of his stature in the world of literature and the impact he has made, Bradbury was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 2004.

Bradbury gave the keynote address at the dedication of the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center on October 20, 2000 at St. Cloud State University. He shared his passion for writing, including how he was inspired as a 12-year old boy to write short stories by a carnival character named Mr. Electrico in his northern Illinois hometown.
