Sarah Weddington Podcast

sarahweddington.jpgSarah Weddington is an attorney, lecturer and mentor who gained world-wide fame when she and Linda Coffee represented "Jane Roe" in the landmark Roe v. Wade case before the United States Supreme Court. She was just 26 years old when the case, that legalized arbortion in the country, was first argued. Weddington is an active speaker, teacher (University of Texas – Austin), and author.

Weddington spoke at St. Cloud State University on the 30th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision on January 22, 2003. She was a guest as a part of the Women’s Center’s Women on Wednesday series. She answered the four most frequently questions she is asked about the case:

  • How did she get involved in Roe v. Wade?
  • What was it like to argue a case before the Supreme Court?
  • How did you find you had learned Roe v. Wade?
  • What is different today?
