Traditional Low Tech Lives of the Fur Trading Rendezvous in Minnesota
It’s a trap! Arts and Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack visits with a group of folk who have carried the traditions and skills of colonial fur traders into the modern world. Rendezvous Re-enacters are what they are called, and recently they came together in Clearwater, MN, for a Saturday of demonstrations and family fun. Rendezvous are plentiful during the summer months in Minnesota, including Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17th at the Forrest City Stockade, a fort that played a role in the Sioux Uprising in 1862 and is located only about 45 minutes from St. Cloud.
