Well, in today’s installment of the Untold Stories of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with Rick Shefchik about his book Everybody’s Heard About The Bird: The True Story of 1960s Rock n Roll in Minnesota.

rom the very beginning with Augie Garcia from St. Paul through the early development and struggles of Bob Dylan all the way to The Trashmen and their collision with the British Invasion, in this expansive historical tome, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the birth of Rock n Roll and the place that Minnesota musicians, radio stations, and dance halls had in changing the world through music.
