Women's Hockey Draws Twice Against No. 6 Ohio State
Freshman Goaltender Emma Polusny

The SCSU women's Hockey team tied in both games of their games against No. 6 Ohio State University this past weekend.

On Friday, the Huskies opened the game in a flurry with two goals in the first period. Sophomore Abby Thiessen scored at the 9:55 mark of the period with Redshirt Sophomore Dana Rasmussen scoring three minutes later. The Buckeyes would rally back with a goal in both the second and the third periods to even the score at 2-2 and force a tie. Sophomore Goaltender Janine Alder stopped 41 of 43 shots fired her way.

On Saturday Ohio State came to play and pelted Freshman Goaltender Emma Polusny with shots. It was a little lopsided in that category with the Buckeyes outshooting the Huskies 41-18. The crooked shot number wouldn't be enough to make SCSU budge with Polusny posting a 41 save shutout, however SCSU was unable to find the back of the net as well for another tie on the weekend; this one ending in a 0-0 final.

With the two draws the Huskies move to 3-12-2 on the season with a 1-7-2 mark in WCHA play.
