Russian Fairy Tales Exhibit at the Stearns History Museum

The Stearns History Museum is part of a series of exhibits that are “Exploring History and Culture in Central Minnesota” – with the Museum of Russian Art.
The program, Russian Fairytales, will include Russian traditional dances by the Nitka Folk Performance Group. They’ll present a costume show with explanations and a presentation on Russian fairytales and fairytale-themed nesting dolls from the museum’s collection. The Nitka Folk Performance Group is a troupe of all female performance-oriented folklorists who study, research, perform and interpret female communal culture of old Russia.
The performance is on Saturday, February 8th from 1 to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public at the Stearns History Museum.
