The St. Cloud State University International Film Studies is featuring nine films this fall. On Monday, December 9, the Japanese film “Shoplifters” will be screened. The film is about a dysfunctional family of outsiders that is united by fierce loyalty and a penchant for petty theft. When the young son is arrested, secrets are exposed that upend their below-the-radar existence. This film is a Cannes film fest winner.

The International Film Series takes place in the Atwood Center Theatre every Monday at 7 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
