DESCRIPTION:The Paramount Center for the Arts in historic downtown is hosting an art exhibit called Moments in Time. \nThe exhibit features the work of Ruth Jensen McGrath. She works with watercolors\, acrylic and oil for her paintings. The artist paint whatever gives her inspiration\, often landscapes around her. The long shadows of morning or late afternoon. The changing seasons and the vast farmland or woodlands. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota and Stearns County Parks for the Moonlight Ski.. \nThis is a free family friendly event at Quarry Park. There will be bonfires with smores\, hot cocoa\, door prizes and free parking available. Also\, you can stop in Fitzharris Ski\, Bike\, and Outdoor or Revolution Cycle and Ski on January 6 for free ski rentals on first-come\, first served basis. There are more than four miles of lighted cross country ski trails at Quarry Park. \nThe Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center will be at the Moonlight Ski and have some skis available for use. SUMMARY:Resonance of Floating Bodies Exhibit at SCSU
DESCRIPTION:A new exhibit “Resonance of Floating Bodies by Joe Smith” is now on view at the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus. \nThe exhibit explores the connections between the liminal spaces between objects being and non-being. Using large-scale sculptural incubators\, Smith explores his uncanny development of labored forms as they lie in stasis. The exhibition is a quiet\, dark and meditative space that invites viewers to ponder the essence of objectivity. \nSmith is a visual artist and educator based in Minneapolis. \nThe Kiehle Gallery is located in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center on the campus of St. Cloud State. They perform 1-2 concerts a year\, offer small group ensembles for events\, educational events for local ringers\, and customized learning sessions for individual choirs. \nOur bells and chimes are a combination of Schulmerich and Malmark.
