DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota History Center in St. Paul is featuring a new exhibit–“Sinclair Lewis: 100 Years of Main Street.” \nSinclair Lewis\, born in Sauk Centre\, is arguably the most famous person to come out of Minnesota. SUMMARY:Donations for Kids to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr
DESCRIPTION:The St. Cloud Police Department’s Community Engagement Cop House unit is partnering with the Somali Women’s Professional Group and the CentraCare Diversity and Inclusion Department to provide individual candy bags for kids to hand out at the upcoming Islamic event\, Eid al-Fitr . \nThe Cop House will providing space for donations\, candy packing and to be a site for the candy bags to be distributed to kids. The organizations are looking for donations of prepackaged candy\, juice boxes and bottled water for this project. Donations can be dropped off Monday- Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Cop House\, which is located at 600 13th Street South in St Cloud\, near the south side Boys and Girls Club \nEid al-Fitr is the celebration at the end of Ramadan\, and will be on May 13th this year. \nThey’re taking donations until May 10th when the candy bag packing event takes place. \n\nRadio: We have more information posted at KVSC.org\, visit the Area Events page. \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Sergeant Ryan Sayre with the St Cloud Police Dept at 320-345-4382.
