SUMMARY:'Junctures' on display in Kiehle Gallery at SCSU
DESCRIPTION:The Kiehle Visual Arts Gallery at St. Cloud State University is hosting an exhibit called Junctures this month. \n“Junctures” by Megan Vossler and her featured works in the exhibit bridge the span between pre- and late-pandemic life\, exploring this uncertain time through three different subjects: water\, the sky and everyday domestic objects. \nFor example the work “Untitled (Days)” consists of 365 watercolor paintings\, one made each day over the span of one year and is exhibited for the first time in its entirety.  The exhibit is on display during gallery hours through March 30th. \n**The Department of Art will hold a live-stream viewing event of the Twin Cities artist’s talk in the gallery at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday\, March 16. SUMMARY:For George: Portraits of the Movement Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University are presenting For George: Portraits of the Movement.  \nThis is a collection of portraits and interviews by South Minneapolis photographer John Steitz. Living less than a mile from what would later come to be known as George Floyd Square\, Steitz spent much of the Summer of 2020 at the intersection of 38th and Chicago\, listening to the stories of those who gathered there to mourn and demonstrate. This project seeks to celebrate and amplify the voices of the individual people who joined together in difficult times to build community and demand change. \nThe exhibit is now on view at the Benedicta Arts Center Gorecki Gallery at CSB during gallery hours through May 9th. \n\nRadio: We have a link to more details at KVSC.org\, visit the Area Events page. \n
