SUMMARY:Moments in Time Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Paramount Center for the Arts in historic downtown is hosting an art exhibit called Moments in Time. \nThe exhibit features the work of Ruth Jensen McGrath. She works with watercolors\, acrylic and oil for her paintings. The artist paint whatever gives her inspiration\, often landscapes around her. The long shadows of morning or late afternoon. The changing seasons and the vast farmland or woodlands. The sky\, with it’s ever changing clouds\, with the landscape below for a feeling of aerial perspective. \nJensen McGrath’s work  is on view on the main floor of the lobby\, which you can visit for free Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. \n\nRadio: There’s more details on the Area Events page at KVSC.org.

SUMMARY:Resonance of Floating Bodies Exhibit at SCSU
DESCRIPTION:A new exhibit “Resonance of Floating Bodies by Joe Smith” is now on view at the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus. \nThe exhibit explores the connections between the liminal spaces between objects being and non-being. Using large-scale sculptural incubators\, Smith explores his uncanny development of labored forms as they lie in stasis. The exhibition is a quiet\, dark and meditative space that invites viewers to ponder the essence of objectivity. \nSmith is a visual artist and educator based in Minneapolis. \nThe Kiehle Gallery is located in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center on the campus of St. Cloud State. DESCRIPTION:The next Whippersnapper Hour at the Stearns History Center is Fur Trade Frenzy. \nWhippersnapper Hour is a program for children to learn about history with hands-on activities. \nIn January\, kids will get a little taste of what it was like to be involved in the American Fur Trade during the 19th century here in Minnesota. SUMMARY:Winter Frolic at Snake River Fur Post in Pine River
DESCRIPTION:The Snake River Fur Post in Pine River is hosting its annual Winter Frolic\, an afternoon of outdoor fun and activities for all ages to enjoy while learning about Minnesota history. \nThe whole family can partake in educational and interactive winter festivities. You’ll learn about winter travel during the fur trade in the early 19th century\, try tossing a curling stone\, and play a round of the Ojibwe snow snake game. \nThere will b additional opportunities to explore the fur post include snowshoeing around the site’s trails. Guided tours of the Fur Post run every 30 minutes are starting at noon\, with the final tour beginning at 3 p.m.. DESCRIPTION:The SCSU Cheer Teams hosting their annual Cheer Clinic \nChildren are invited to come cheer\, dance and hang out with the St. Cloud State University Hockey Cheer team. All kids of all ages are welcome\, the only requirement is that children must be potty trained.
