SUMMARY:Moments in Time Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Paramount Center for the Arts in historic downtown is hosting an art exhibit called Moments in Time. \nThe exhibit features the work of Ruth Jensen McGrath. She works with watercolors\, acrylic and oil for her paintings. The artist paint whatever gives her inspiration\, often landscapes around her. The long shadows of morning or late afternoon. The changing seasons and the vast farmland or woodlands. The sky\, with it’s ever changing clouds\, with the landscape below for a feeling of aerial perspective. \nJensen McGrath’s work  is on view on the main floor of the lobby\, which you can visit for free Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. \n\nRadio: There’s more details on the Area Events page at KVSC.org.

SUMMARY:Resonance of Floating Bodies Exhibit at SCSU
DESCRIPTION:A new exhibit “Resonance of Floating Bodies by Joe Smith” is now on view at the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus. \nThe exhibit explores the connections between the liminal spaces between objects being and non-being. Using large-scale sculptural incubators\, Smith explores his uncanny development of labored forms as they lie in stasis. The exhibition is a quiet\, dark and meditative space that invites viewers to ponder the essence of objectivity. \nSmith is a visual artist and educator based in Minneapolis. \nThe Kiehle Gallery is located in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center on the campus of St. Cloud State. SUMMARY:Documentary series The U.S. and The Holocaust at St. Cloud State
DESCRIPTION:St. Cloud State University’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education is presenting an exclusive screening of the 2022 Ken Burns\, Lynn Novick\, and Sarah Botstein documentary series The U.S. and The Holocaust on campus. \nScreenings in English will be on Jan. 23\, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6\, while Spanish screenings will run Jan. 24\, Jan. 31 and Feb. 7. DESCRIPTION:Student’s United\, Lead Minnesota\, the Minnesota State Office of Equity and Inclusion and SCSU Multicultural Student Services are hosting the 14th annual Power in DiversityLeadership Conference/ \nThis year organizers are shift the model slightly to get back to the basics with grassroots organizing\, advocacy work and community building. The conference\ntheme is Solidarity in Action. Participants will earn a digital Leadership Badge for completion of the Power in Diversity Leadership Conference and there will be an additional track with the opportunity to earn an Advocacy Badge. \nThe conference is January 26-28\, 2023. \nParticipants will also expand their network by connecting with local and regional community organizations. \n
