SUMMARY:13th Annual Book Sale for Child Care Center
DESCRIPTION:The Lindgren Child Care Center at St. Cloud State University is hosting their 13th annual used book sale\, and they could use your help. \nEach year\, the Lindgren preschoolers hold a book sale in the Atwood Memorial Center. If you have any gently used books to donate you can drop them off at the Child Care Center located next to the the Engineering and Computer Center or at a number of campus departments. They do not want any textbooks. DESCRIPTION:The Paramount Center for the Arts in St. Cloud is featuring the exhibit “Fantastic Occurrences” in its main floor lobby. \nThe exhibit spotlights the art of Lou Lou\, whose paintings are intentional\, whimsical and nestle between realism and surrealism. The art possess a dreamlike quality rich with luscious greenery. \nThe exhibit can be viewed Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. \nBy the way\, you can visit with the artist on Saturday\, March 11 from 5-7 p.m during her art reception. DESCRIPTION:TESTIFY: Americana from Slavery to Today\, an exhibit of art and artifacts from The Diane and Alan Page Collection\, has returned to the St. Cloud Great River Regional Library. \nFormer Minnesota Supreme Court Justice and NFL Hall of Famer Alan Page and his family\, with collection director Georgi Page-Smith\, are again presenting their exhibit in Minnesota with renewed calls to action. \nSelections from the family’s extraordinary collection will be on display at  the Great River Regional Library. They’re hosting a large format photo display of selections from the exhibit\, featuring audio narration. DESCRIPTION:The St. Cloud Regional Library is hosting a Fairytale STEM Challenge. \nThey will be using science\, technology\, engineering\, and math skills to help solve fairytale problems. \nIn March the fairytale is Humpty Dumpty – Can you keep Humpty Dumpty from cracking up when he falls? \nIn April the theme is Jack and the Beanstalk – Can you help Jack Get away from the Giant? \nAll materials  are included.and the challenge is aimed at chidlren  ages 7 to 12. Willi Myles. \nOriginally hailing from Alabama\, Myles is a St. Cloud State University alumnus who played football\, majored in psychology and theater and now tours across the country and abroad with his popular comedy performances. \n\nWe’re welcoming him back to Husky Nation for An Inspiring Evening with C. Willi Myles on Wednesday\, April 5 in the Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall. The show starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the campus and community. This is a free\, fun night to enjoy with friends or family. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. \nThere will be FREE parking in V-lot\, N-lot (near the Education Building) and H-lot (south of Stewart Hall) starting at 630 p.m. \n\n\nC. Willi Myles has the gift of connecting people with one other through humor and storytelling that we can all relate to. After surviving his childhood growing up with nine sisters and one brother\, Willi moved to Minnesota and brought his stories about growing up in the south and acclimating to the cold of Minnesota. DESCRIPTION:The Paramount Center for the Arts is presenting the California SONGBOOK LIVE. \nThe concert brings the sunshine to the stage with THE CALIFORNIA SONGBOOK\, a tribute to the sounds of The Mamas & The Papas\, Joni Mitchell\, Carpenters\, Linda Ronstadt\, The Eagles\, Jefferson Airplane\, Fleetwood Mac\, & more. \nIn the mid-’60s a new sound was brewing in Laurel Canyon\, California. Folk\, country\, pop\, mysticism\, rock\, & even show tunes – blended together\, and every record executive was on the lookout for that new folk/rock sound.
