SUMMARY:Experimental Earth: Poetry Reading + Creative Writing Session with Ed Bok Lee
DESCRIPTION:American Book Award-winning author Ed Bok Lee will share new\, hybrid poetry and prose\, as well as conduct a writing exercise and sharing circle. Emphasis will be placed on helping participants develop new hybrid forms of creative writing that incorporate on-site library research\, the local environment\, and the natural world. Ed Bok Lee is a fiscal year 2023 recipient of a Creative Support for Individual Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board\, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. SUMMARY:Folk Music Concert and Bead Making
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand! Join celebrated local folksinger and songwriter Dennis Warner for another free fall concert at the Stearns History Museum (235 33rd Avenue South\, St. Cloud). The event takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday\, September 30\, 2023. Freshly back from his recent South African tour\, the concert will include Warner’s internationally-recognized song\, “Beads on One String\,” and selections from his top-rated album\, “Pilot Me.” \nIn addition to the concert\, you’ll be able to make your own bead art inspired by Warner’s music. Former local art educator\, Kathy Gerdts-Senger\, will guide you in learning simple bead-making techniques. Make your own bead art to bring home! \nThis family-friendly event is free and open to the public and will be held outdoors\, weather permitting. Bring your own blanket or chair and enjoy an afternoon of free music and make-and-take crafts at the museum!

DESCRIPTION:We want to do something special for our first time at Pioneer Place on Fifth… In honor of Tool’s album Lateralus\, we’ll play the iconic album front to back! Many people have asked about it recently and we had intended to do a Lateralus 20th anniversary show a couple of years ago\, but unfortunately\, the pandemic had other plans. The show starts at 7:30pm with the Lateralus album as set 1. Then we’ll have an intermission. After the intermission\, we’ll play a set of songs from Tool’s other albums!
