SUMMARY:Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Candlelight Hike: Candlelight Hike & Ski at Frontenac State Park
DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy an evening in the park by candlelight! Snowshoe\, ski\, or hike the trail along the bluff top with beautiful views of the Mississippi River Valley\, lit by dozens of luminaries and the light of the full moon. Warm up at campfires at either end of the trail or enjoy some light refreshments by the wood stove in the warming shelter. \nRefreshments provided by the Frontenac State Park Association volunteer group. \nVehicles entering the park are required to have a State Park vehicle permit. Skiers 16 and older will need a MN Ski Pass to participate. Ski passes are $10 for a day pass\, $25 for the year\, or $70 for three years. A limited number of snowshoes will also be available for rent for $6 per pair.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy snowshoeing (skiing or hiking if conditions permit) by the light the moon\, with candle luminaries to help guide the way. \nTrails start at the Interpretive/Visitor Center but will be determined closer to the event date. \nTraditional snowshoes will be available for free use at the Visitor Center. Snowshoe and ski rental is also available at the Ranger Station for a fee. All is on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nAfter exploring the trails\, visitors can warm up near a crackling bonfire while they enjoy hot cider and cookies at the Visitor Center. \nNote that severe weather\, poor snow conditions\, or other factors may cause this event to be changed or canceled. \n\nThis event is co-sponsored by the Natural Resource Club of Central Lakes College.

This a capella men’s quartet has been entertaining Minnesota audiences for more than 30 years with their renditions of classic pop songs. \nLike all Music in the Gardens performances\, this one begins at 3:00 PM and is free and open to the public. It takes place in an area near the Gazebo in Munsinger Gardens\, which is located in St. Cloud\, on the banks of the Mississippi River. \nRoot beer floats have become a delicious tradition at this event! They will be on sale during the concert.
