DESCRIPTION:China Rider is a band that brings the music of the Grateful Dead to a stage near you.  They create an experience that includes the excitement and exploration you would expect at an original Dead concert.\nChina Rider was first conceived by Logan Thomas in 2015 when he put together local musicians to take on the fun challenging project. They spent almost a year in the Bunkhouse practicing and perfecting their improvisational skills. Finally all the stars aligned and they were able to bring it to the stage in June of 2016 in downtown St. Cloud\, MN.\nChina Rider has been playing at venues all over Minnesota\, from music festivals to concert venues.  Be sure to check out our Events page to see where China Rider will be playing next.\nWhy the name China Rider? it comes from the name of a classic Grateful Dead live medley of songs “China Cat Sunflower” and “I Know You Rider”\, which is referred to among the Deadhead community as China Rider! \nLive music is held outdoors in the rain or shine. SUMMARY:PACHANGA SOCIETY AND BROTHERS BURN MOUNTAIN
DESCRIPTION:Perhaps the most amazing thing about the music of the SCPS is that its appeal cuts through both generational and cultural barriers. A cross section of a typical crowd will find people ranging from their 20s to their 70s\, and in terms of culture you’ll find college students/professors from Minnesota and around the world\, long-term local residents\, members of the local Latino community\, and a sizable number of local musicians. The participatory nature of the Pachanga experience is a key part of the energy or synergy that is created between the audience and the players on the stage. A large number (20-50) of people regularly bring their own percussion instruments from home or play those provided by the group. More often than not\, if you’re not playing along with the music coming from the stage\, you’re out there dancing and contributing to the energy that way. Whatever the case\, nearly everyone (regardless of age\, sex\, color\, creed\, nationality\, sexual orientation\, and/or musical tastes) who experiences a Pachanga Society meeting comes away with a smile and a desire to shake their hips\, move their feet\, whoop it up\, and have a good time!

Performing several engagements a year all across the United States\, they’re able to accommodate requests that bridge generations\, nationalities\, and musical styles. Mollie & Ted are the first and only husband and wife to be both inducted into the International Polka Association Hall of Fame. They also host one of the only two polka shows on Sirius XM. And since March of 2020\, their YouTube popularity has grown due to their weekly Tuesday night show. Mollie is the host of the popular “Mollie B Polka Party” on RFD-TV\, which is currently broadcast into over 48 million households via DISH Network\, Direct TV\, and over 600 independent cable systems. Also\, Mollie B has been named Female Vocalist of the Year by the United States Polka Association and the International Polka Association multiple times. The popular “Mollie B Christmas Special” has received rave reviews and received many awards.
