A 47-year-old Sauk Rapids woman has died after the motor cycle she was riding on hit a deer. Laura Ann Tenvoorde-Behrend was riding with her husband, 49-year-old David John Behrend on County Road 155 in Avon Township when the accident happened Wednesday.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s office says the accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. , the couple were on their Harley Davidson riding north on the County Road when they hit the deer. Tenvoorde-Behrend was pronounced dead at the scene, her husband was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital.

David Behrend is currently in critical condition. They both were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
