Stearns County Deputies were called around 5:30 p.m. to a report of a domestic assault at an apartment in the city of Rockville on Wednesday evening.

When arriving to the apartment, Sheriff John Sanner reports that the deputies found a 17-year-old juvenile male with a stab wound to the abdomen. The teenager was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. After further investigation deputies learned the boy had allegedly assaulted his 18-year-old girlfriend and had interfered with her attempting to call 911. The stab wounds are believed to be self-inflicted.

The boy was placed under arrest for domestic assault and interfering with a 911 call. This case remains under investigation.
