Archived: 28th Avenue Temporarily Closed After Semi Rollover Monday
A semi-rollover accident led to a two-hour road closure on 28th Avenue near Mills Fleet Monday afternoon.
Waite Park Police Chief David Bentrud says officers responded to the accident near Mills Fleet at 10:00 a.m. A semi driven by 25-year-old Adam Kringle of Sliver Lake was heading westbound in the area of County Road 75 when he attempted to make a left turn onto southbound 28th Avenue. As he was turning, the load shifted and caused the semi-tractor to roll onto its side, spilling gravel on the roadway.
The road was closed for two hours so it could be cleaned. No injuries were reported. High speed may be a contributing factor in the accident.
