Archived: 2nd Annual Fifth Avenue Fest Along Fifth Avenue In St. Cloud This Friday
This year’s 2nd annual Fifth Avenue Fest will take place Saturday, featuring music, history, food, and fun.
Activities will be open to the public stretching along Fifth Avenue from Pioneer Place to Barden Park near the St. Cloud State University campus.
In downtown St. Cloud, visitors can tour historic sites with local history expert Bill Morgan or shop at the St. Cloud Area Farmer’s Market in the Lady Slipper parking lot.
Across Division Street, The Youth Shelter Supply will be hosting skateboarding activities at City Hall and root beer floats will be handed out by the First Presbyterian Church. The Welcome Center at Coborn’s Plaza is offering apartment tours, refreshments, and a photo display of the former Streetcar Maintenance Building site.
Closer to the SCSU campus, live music from local musicians will be hosted at Barden Park with a special performance from Skunk Hollow, a blue grass-inspired folk group from the Twin Cities.
The event starts at noon until 4 p.m. as part of “Takin’ It to The Streets,” an outdoor evening concert near Pioneer Place starting after the festival at 5 p.m.
