A 3-year-old girl was hospitalized after falling from a third story apartment window Monday just before 8 p.m.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says the girl was being watched by two adults who aren’t her parents when she pushed out a window screen and fell from an apartment in the 3000 block of St. Germain Street West.

An investigation leads officers to believe criminal action was not a factor in the accident.

The girl was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
