A Brooklyn Park man was arrested in connection with recruiting and promoting prostitution Tuesday morning.

Waite Park Police Chief David Bentrud says officers from the Central Minnesota Sex Trafficking Task Force were working on a special investigation. Their findings showed that a woman was actively being trafficked as a prostitute.

Bentrud adds the investigation established that 38-year-old Terrell Fields was alleged to be actively recruiting and promoting prostitution. Fields was detained and taken to the Stearns County Jail.

Waite Park Police Department and members of the Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force were part of the team working in the investigation.
