A 53-year-old man was beaten then robbed Tuesday evening in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud police say 24-year-old Micheal Duane Williams II of St. Cloud beat the victim then stole his property in the area of Rivercrest Drive at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Police arrested Williams II on aggravated robbery and first degree assault charges. He is being held in the Stearns County Jail.
