An Annandale man died after a medical situation and car accident late Wednesday night.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was called to the accident, which happened at 23823 67th Avenue in St. Augusta at 11:45 p.m.

Deputies learned that a 58-year-old man from Annandale experienced a medical situation while driving home from work and crashed into a tree.

The man was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital where he later died. His death does not appear to be linked to the vehicle accident.

Authorities are contacting his next of kin before releasing his name.
