The Untold Story of The History of Fascism in Minnesota as an Art Exhibit by Brooks Turner

Would we know actual Fascism if we saw it?  Unfortunately, the answer to that question appears to be “not until it is too late.”

Created from actual Minnesota Historical Society documents, Brooks Turner’s work, the “Uncanny Familiarities of Scenes and People,” shows the way that everyday people can be manipulated into dehumanizing their neighbors and supporting ideas that they might not have ever believed they’d entertain.

In today’s Untold Story of Central Minnesota, Arts & Cultural Heritage Producer Jeff Carmack talks with Brooks Turner about his art installment as well as his artist talk at SCSU’s Kiehle Gallery on Thursday, October 22, beginning at 3:30 pm with both limited in-person experience and a free Zoom link.
