Stearns History Museum is opening it’s first online photographic exhibit Taking the Ball into Their Own Hands: Women and the Road to Title IX. The exhibit celebrates the enactment of Title IX into law on June 23, 1972, and features 25 Stearns County women athletes. Each profile has a quote or an interesting fact about their experiences. The highlighted athletes were chosen for their athletic skills and a desire to build community through volunteering, mentoring, and public service.

Access to the virtual display will be through the Museum’s website and catalog and will open to the public on Thursday, June 23rd, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX.
