Gear Daddies are a Minnesota college rock institution, and 2026 will mark 40 years since the band started. They commemorated that pending anniversary with a pair of concerts over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, including a show at the Red Carpet Nightclub in downtown St. Cloud.
Shortly before that St. Cloud concert, KVSC’s own John Drake interviewed Martin Zellar, the frontman of Gear Daddies who’s also put together an impressive solo career.
