St. Cloud Metro bus drivers will compete Thursday to see who is the best public transit operator.

St. Cloud Metro Bus says that the annual "Roadeo" will be open to the public. It will feature drivers from the Fixed Route and Dial-a-Ride divisions. They will try and pass obstacle courses made of orange cones, which tests them on real-life driving scenarios.

The top two finalists from each division will able to compete in the Minnesota State Roadeo held in Duluth in July. Whoever wins the state competition will qualify to compete nationally.

The local Roadeo will be held at K Lot on the St. Cloud State University campus from 1-4 p.m. this Thursday.
