A road located on the south side of St. Cloud State University is temporarily closing. 8th Street South, located in between the Wick Science Building and Brown Hall will be closing for two months due to construction.

The St. Cloud State Public Safety department says the work, which will be to repair a tunnel underneath 8th Street, will last about two months. The construction zone goes all the way until the intersection at 1st Avenue South. During this time, H Lot will be closed, and anyone with a permit for that lot is being asked to use N Lot instead. 2nd Avenue South will temporarily become a two-way street as a detour.

Drivers should be careful to slow down near work zones and are reminded to give crews room to work.
