Anglers looking to fish the Lake Mille Lacs can expect a full fishing season in 2018.

The Central Minnesota Lake opens its walleye season on Saturday, May 12. Although walleye population has improved from last year, the DNR will continue to enforce catch-and-release.

Night closure will also be in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
