Stearns County has been recognized for supporting nursing mothers.

Stearns County’s Human Services Public Health Division received the Breastfeeding Friendly Health Department Award from the Minnesota Department of Health. The award recognizes the communities commitment of supporting healthy families as well as the commitment by local workplaces, maternity centers and health departments.

Stearns County received the silver award which represents the steps that an organization met.
