A St. Cloud man is being held in North Dakota on possible homicide charges and is awaiting extradition.

Waite Park Police say on Sunday morning 20-year-old Desmond Omandy Barzey of St. Cloud was arrested near Bismarck. Barzey was wanted on the December 9 shooting death of a 19-year-old male. Police say Barzey is facing charges of homicide, possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing from police and reckless endangerment.

Waite Park Police say this is the first homicide in Waite Park in nearly two decades.
