Archived: Car Hits Boy In Elk River
A boy from Elk River is in the hospital after he was hit by a car on Sunday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a sedan was going north on Highway 169 in Elk River just after 9 p.m. when 12-year-old Ian West Kniseley ran across the highway. The boy received life-threatening injuries when he was hit by the car.
Kniseley was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for his injuries. Authorities say they believe alcohol is not a factor.
