Archived: Zimmerman Man Is In Custody After He Drove His Truck Into A Business Monday
Five people were injured after a man drove his car into a Zimmerman business Monday afternoon.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s office says they believe 63-year-old Robert Johnson was under the influence of alcohol when he drove his truck into the Reliant Systems office. Authorities say the truck went 30 to 40 feet into the building before it came to a stop.
Two people were airlifted and one was taken by ambulance to North Memorial Medical Center for their injuries. The other two injured in the accident were taken to Fairview Hospital in Princeton for minor injuries.
Johnson faces charges of criminal vehicular operation and officers are still investigating if alcohol was a factor.
