Technical High School is mourning the loss of science teacher Jay Sharp.

Sharp, who was 54,  died unexpectedly in the Tech High School parking lot on Friday.

He had taught locally since 1998 serving most of his years at Tech High School. He also coached multiple sports and had a profound impact on the young people in the community. 

A memorial will be held on Tuesday in Richmond at 6:30 p.m.
