Archived: Central Minnesota Farms Honored As Century Farms
The Minnesota State Fair and the Minnesota Farm Bureau recognized 165 Minnesota farms as 2017 Century Farms.
According to the Minnesota State Fair to Qualify for the award farms must have been in continuous family ownership for at least 100 years and be 50 acres or more. These farms will receive a commemorative sign, as well as a certificate signed by president of the Minnesota State Fair, Minnesota Farm Bureau president, and Governor Mark Dayton.
The award was started in 1976 and since then more than 10,000 farms have been honored with this title.
