Archived: Posthumous Degree to be Awarded By St. Cloud State to Jesse Dady

St. Cloud State University is granting a degree to a student who died this spring after falling off a bridge over the Mississippi River.

The administration is awarding a posthumous degree to Jesse Dady. He was a 21-year-old junior who carried a 4.0 GPA, with a major in biochemistry.

Dady went missing on March 25th after leaving a bar in downtown St. Cloud. A security video showed him walking across a railroad bridge over the Mississippi River and going from view. His body was found in the Mississippi River on March 31st.

The degree will be given Friday, May 26th at 10 a.m. in the Atwood Memorial Center’s Alumni room and the campus community is invited to share in remembrance of Jesse Dady.
